Walking in Christ: Our Kingdom Calling

Dear Church Family,

This past Sunday, our sermon explored Colossians 2:6-15, focusing on our calling as citizens of God's kingdom and the spiritual warfare we face daily. This passage reminds us that although we've been saved and transferred into Christ's kingdom, there's an ongoing battle for our hearts and minds. We must be vigilant against the enemy's attempts to render us ineffective for God's kingdom and instead walk fully in the life we have in Christ.

Takeaways:
- Remember your calling as kingdom citizens: Because we've received Christ, we must walk in Him, ordering our entire lives around His will and glory.
- Wake up to the plans of the enemy: Satan seeks to take us captive, not necessarily by destroying our faith, but by making us ineffective through worldly distractions and pursuits.
- Walk in the fullness of Christ: We have everything we need in Christ. Let's prioritize knowing Him through His Word, growing in trust through prayer, and encouraging one another in the church.

As we go about our week, let's reflect on how we're ordering our lives. Are we walking in Christ, or have we been taken captive by worldly desires? Remember, we have the fullness of Christ as His beloved citizens. Let's live in that truth and help each other stay focused on our King and His kingdom.
May God bless you and keep you walking closely with Him.

In Christ's love,
The Elders at NLBC
