E-Bulletin November 13th

Special Family Night
Next Wednesday November 19th at 6:00pm is a special family night.! The team that went to serve at Rivers of Mercy last month is grateful to everyone that made our trip possible and supported the ROM Harvest Festival outreach through your prayers and financial support! Please join us as we share testimonies about our trip!

Gingerbread House Decorating!
Sunday December 7th right after church at 11:30am. No Sunday School. Please sign your family up for a house (1 house per family/household) no later than Sunday November 30th. These houses are made to order based on those who have signed up, so if you have not signed up by November 30th then unfortunately you will not have a house to decorate, BUT you can still join for a pizza lunch and fellowship.
Pizza will be provided by the church with the help of the Social Committee and will be around 12:30.
Please bring candy to share for the "community candy" table and then any specialty candies you might want for your own! Please contact Jessica Bartlett 423-626-3497 or use the sign-up sheet in the back of the church to "order" a house. This is a free church sponsored event, but candy donations are helpful.

Thanksgiving Eve Service
Join us Wednesday Nov. 26 at 6:30 pm for our annual Thanksgiving Eve Service. Take time out of the busy holiday prep to praise our great God together!

Joy in the Journey – Special Needs Moms Group
Are you a mom of someone with special needs? You’re not alone. Joy in the Journey is a monthly online video chat group where mothers come together to share their burdens, pray, and encourage one another with others who truly understand. Join us as we find hope, strength, and joy together in the journey God has placed before us. For more information or to join, contact Mariah Jackman at 413-522-8014.

Joni and Friends
We're excited to share that four couples from NLBC will be attending the Joni and Friends Marriage Getaway this year - our biggest group yet!

This special retreat will take place November 21-23 and is designed to strengthen the relationships of couples living with the disability of a spouse or child. It offers a time for them to refresh their marriage, connect with others navigating similar challenges, and renew a Christ-centered foundation for lasting love and partnership.

While at the retreat, couples will enjoy biblical teaching, special dinners, marriage coaching, and much-needed rest and encouragement.

We invite you to prayerfully consider donating to help sponsor these 4 couples from our church as they take this important step toward strengthening their marriages and deepening their faith together.

To give:
Please write "Joni and Friends" in the memo line of your check to the church, or select "Other" when giving through the church app and designate your gift for Joni and Friends.

"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing."
- 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Food Pantry
We may have some extra families coming to the food pantry due to SNAP benefits being unavailable in November. Some more donations would be a big help! Thank you!
Please see the updated food pantry list of needs. They are in bold.
There is need for another volunteer for the food pantry. Let Rob or Karen Rice know if you are interested.

  • Social Committee: We are also looking for anyone interested in serving on the Social Committee. This would involve helping with events including set-up, take down, prep, etc. This role is open to all, please see Judy Todd or Janice Abbott with any questions.

Thank you to everyone who has served on a committee this last year in our church and thank you to those who will be serving in the coming year.

Congratulations to Charlie and Janice. Their first grandchild, Marshall Abbott Gauthier, was born on November 12 at 6:22 AM. Marshall is also the great grandson of Charlotte Abbott and Carl and Phyllis McConchie.

For our Sunday service and Pastor Daniel, who will be preaching.

Pray for a heart of evangelism for yourself and our church and for God to work through our sowing.

Pray that someone will come forward to fill the Assistant Treasurer role.

The ministry focus this week is the GO Team. The GO Team corresponds with our Global Partners and plans activities to keep us up to date about our partners. The team members are:  Bob and Linda Jablonski (co-chairs), Dan Leonovich, Connor Lafleur, and Jim Browning.

Our church of the week is the Gill Church and their Pastor Gary Bourbeau. Gary's wife Merri teaches youth Sunday school and leads a ladies Bible study on Wednesday mornings.

Our global partner of the week is the Springfield Rescue Mission. The Word of God calls upon us all to love our neighbors and offer kindness to those in need. That is the essence of the Springfield Rescue Mission's work, and we offer a range of services and programs to our neighbors in need. The mission is seeing more folks than ever turning to them for help. As the weather turns colder, they know that the need is only going to increase. Pray that donations will come in so they can continue to help those in need,  Pray that the people seeking help will find Jesus through this ministry.
