Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of North Leverett Baptist Church based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
God
We believe in the one true God, eternally existing in three coeternal and coequal persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; John 1:1; Titus 2:13, Acts 5:3-4; 1 Peter 1:2).
Scripture
We believe the Bible is the Word of God, inspired, inerrant, infallible in the original writings and the final authority for all of life and godliness (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
Mankind
We believe that all people have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).
Salvation
We believe that salvation is found in grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone (Ephesians 2:6-9).
End Times
We believe those that are saved by Jesus Christ will spend eternity with him and those who have rejected him will spend eternity in a literal place called Hell.
Jesus Christ will return visibly and personally one day and establish his eternal rule in the new heavens and new earth (Matthew 25:31-46, Revelation 21:1-4).
